Scchool in Australia

So I went to Mia’s school on a Friday. Her first class began 9 o´clock, she says that she always start her first class at 9pm and so do the other. If you go to school here in Australia it’s a must to wear school uniform every day! They have different uniforms if it’s a day with sport or a original day. When they have an original day the girls wear skirt and when they have sport day’s the girls wear shorts. I don’t know about the boys but I think they always have the same. When Mia’s mum drove us to school I saw a lot of children waiting on their school busses and almost everyone had different school uniforms so I ask Mia if there are many school in this area and she said yes. You can actually see on the uniforms witch school you come from. Mia goes’ on a really big school with many pupils. Like you see on movie a lot there’s a bell ringing every time a class begin and quits. So each lesson ends and starts at the same time! So after a class there’s really many pupils everywhere on their way to their next lesson. I thought that I was going to lose Mia sometime! I asked Mia witch year she goes’ in and she said 9th grade but she is in the same age as me. So when we start in 0th grade or whatever you call it they start in 1th grade. They can pick their subject already in 9th grade (8th grade for us in Sweden)! Mia say’s that she only has 7 subjects and that’s so unfair I think because I have more than twice as much subject. And they don’t get any grades in sport! They don’t have to learn any language either; I have to learn two more languages… There are strict rules that you can’t wear sandals or high heels in school, you have to wear sneakers or something similar to that. They don’t have any lockers either, they have to bring all the books and things they need every day in a school bag from home! And they don’t get free food like we get in our school, they have to bring food every day or buy something. I think it’s really good that we gets free food because if you have to bring food every day you have to fix it every day before and go shopping or something like that. But you can also buy food of course but the queue is often really long! When they’re waiting in the beginning of the day or when they eat they sit in small groups in circles! You can see a big different between boys and girls, the girls sit in the circles and the boy’s playing in the playground. I actually heard that this school’s also having the beep-test! When you’re out driving there are a lot of school zones and you have to drive in 30km/h otherwise you get really big fines. When I was in Mia’s school there were a lot of pupils who came to me and ask where I come from, what’s my name and if I had a pet… In the end of the day they had sport and you can pick what you want to do in this subject. Mia picked beach sports. We played volleyball on the beach and it was really funny! When they had science earlier this morning they actually talked about the light and the reflection and the eyes, like we did a few months ago.

I don’t have much else to say, but yeah it’s a pretty big different from our school.
