8th February
This day started really good, my new friend Mia picked
me up at 10.30 and we went to the beach immediately! Mia only talks English and
her parents too as well. So I had to talk English during the whole day. We were
in the water for a while and then we had lunch. The water was so prettily and
we went to the water after lunch too. We stayed at the beach for 3 hours and
then we had to get inside because otherwise we would get burned and really
tired.
After been at Mia’s place for a while I joined her to
her training. They call it water polo. It’s like handball but it’s in the
water. It wasn’t a fun sport to look at but it seemed really fun to do!
When she (finally) finished we went to a beautiful
place at the pier. We walked the whole way out to the pier and then back. It
was so beautiful. I walked there and it was really hot but it blew so much that
the temperature was great! It’s my favorite weather kind of, really hot and
much wind, the best feeling! When I walked there I had this amazing feeling and
the waves hit the stone wall next to me and I had an amazing view! Everything
was perfect. When you’re at the beach you see a lot of boats a long bit from
the beach and it looks like they stand in a queue! It look weird, Mia’s dad
told me that the boats stands there because they are waiting there so they can
access to the harbor. In the harbor they are getting coal. Because here in New
Castle they have a lot of that! And then they transport the coal to other
countries, mostly Japan and China.
The dinner was so good and while waiting on the
other we took a walk and just talked. It was a perfect end of a really nice
day.
