15th of Mars
Today we went and had a sightseeing tour
with Helena. It was not that fun. I’m not that interested in museum and
buildings. First we went to a mountain and from there we could see the whole
Canberra. Canberra is big but it’s not that much people who live here. Helena
wasn’t sure but she had her thoughts on 300 000 people. I can’t research
it now because the internet is so bad and when it’s working for a while it’s so
slow. So frustrating!!! We saw Canberra’s war memorial. It was a nice building
to remember some war. After a while we went to the par lament. Or should I say
another boring place. We looked at some paintings and the building and had
lunch there as well.
When we got home I turned on the computer
and sat with it for a while. Until dinner and we had some stew with a lot of
vegetables. I don’t usually like hot vegetables but this was okay. After dinner
we went up the mountain so we could watch the fireworks. It was something they
do every year here in Canberra. We couldn’t go to the place where it was
because everyone wanted to come and not everybody can fit in the car. So we
went up on a mountain just where they live. It was a little bit scary because
it was so dark and there were ants everywhere. Now you think, ok ants, wow. But
these ants can bite you and if they do it feels like a sting from a bee. Some
people are allergic from these ants and can die if they get bitten of them. There
were also a terminate mound. I was luckily that I had put my trainers on and
had long pants.
When we found a good place to stand the
fireworks started. It was really fun and Isak really liked it to. Maia was
scared of them and wanted to go home immediately. Poor kid she thought that the
fireworks would come for us.
